BlogLovin, and Help Please!

Hi there

I've jumped on the BlogLovin bandwagon, it's super easy to do, I'm following all the blogs over there that I follow at the moment, one click and they're all there - so easy. I've put a badge in my sidebar, if you'd like to follow me on Bloglovin :)

Now. I've been using Promarkers since I started stamping, and I'm considering switching to Copics...Can anyone offer me their opinions and advice on whether I should change or stay with PMs? The one thing with the Promarkers that bothers me - there's a million and one colouring tutorials for Copics, but only a handful for Promarkers...

Do the Copics colour better? I've seen loads of fabulously coloured images done with Copics, but then again, I've seen some fabulously coloured images with Promarkers as well... so maybe I'm just not a very talented colourer and using Copics instead of Promarkers wouldn't make any difference to the standard of my colouring at all lol. Before I invest in a new set of pens, I want to have as many opinions as possible!

Thanks :)

Brenda's Blogaversary Challenge

Hi everybody

Brenda of Floral Fantasies is running a blogaversary challenge over on her blog at the moment. The idea is that you make a card based on something you see on her blog, be it her style, header, or case one of her cards. I'm not going to flatter myself and think even for a second that I could emulate Brenda's style or make a card even half as fantastic as any of hers, so I decided to use her blog header of poppies as inspiration - and from being a regular reader of Brenda's blog, poppies are a running theme, so I figured it's probably the best representation of Brenda that I can personally do with the talent that I have. So congratulations on all your followers and four years of blogging, looking forward to many more years of your creations!

The image is called Poppy Cluster by Just Inklined

Ingredients
Corner Die - Whimsy Corner Die Set
Papers - the darker one is Papermania Capsule Collection;
the lighter checkered one is from Petal Fresh by LOTV
Medium - Promarkers
Pearls - Ribbon Girl
Ribbon - Ribbon Girl
Everything Else - Stickles

Aside from Brenda's challenge, I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Allsorts Challenge - 1, 2, 3 (3 embellies: diecut corners, pearls, bow)
Papertake Weekly - 1, 2, 3 (one image, two papers, three types of embellies)
Totally Gorjuss - Something Old (image, I've had it for ages)

Thanks for looking :)

Hi everyone

This is the thank you card that I made for the rector who did the service for my uncle's funeral, the sermon was absolutely lovely, and he spent a lot of time at Jim's bedside leading up to his death. He was very good.

Ingredients
Paper - LOTV Promises
Flourish - Cheery Lynn
Ribbon - Ribbon Girl
Pearls - Ribbon Girl
Brass brads - stash
Pearl brad - Ribbon Girl
Medium - Promarkers
Everything Else - Stickles, Glossy Accents

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Totally Gorjuss - Something Old (brass brads have been in my stash forever!)

Happy Mother's Day

To all the Mamas out there, Happy Mother's Day. I hope you're all being spoiled rotten! And to those of you mothers who can't be with your children, and all of you who cannot be with your mothers today....big hugs to all of you.

Today is a very sad day in my house and especially for my mother. In the early hours of the morning, my mother's brother lost his battle with cancer. He passed very peacefully in his sleep with his sisters and brother by his side, and he is free from pain now.. Rest in peace Uncle Jim.

You know, I think the most heartbreaking thing is seeing deep sadness and pain in your mother's eyes, and not be able to do anything about it...and I never want to see it again :( She's been in the hospital with Jim for the last week and it's an hour's drive away so she's been staying up there, so it will be nice to have her home tonight to take care of her and give her lots of hugs.

So here's the card I made for my sister to give Mum. I hope you like it. I made it an easel card because both Mum and Sam like the easel cards.
