KISS :)

So the Totally Gorjuss Challenge is KISS - either keep it simple or have a kiss in it, so I kind of did a bit of both :) My cards are never far from simple anyway, so I just did it the way I normally do it really!

The patterned paper is from a MTY paper pack and the pearlised pink is from a FF pack. The flower is from the Papermania Capsule collection and the sentiment is from a FF die-cut sentiment pack.

I found this really cute image in a Hot Diggity Dog decoupage pack, I love it, the little mice and all the colours!

I'm all crafted out for now, I made 4 cards today so I'm sleepy now, bedtime! :)

Baby card

There's loads of new babies due in the next little while, seems like everyone's having one! So I decided to make a baby card.

The papers, decoupage and sentiments are from the Forever Friends Hugs and Cuddles Decoupage Kit, and the rest were in my stash already. The sparkly paper is FF as well but from a different pack.

I'm trying to be a bit more adventurous with my cards, so I spent more time on it and put more on it than I usually do. It was fun though. I haven't got much equipment in my stash, so I'm really making do with what I have at the minute, then when I have some money I can buy some more stuff :D

It was pretty fiddly trying to put foam stickies on those pram legs I can tell you!

I've learned how to tie nice bows, yay! :D

I would like to enter this into some challenges:

Totally Gorjuss Challenge 115 - Welcome (even though I'm not sure whether this is finished or not, but hey I don't mind really!)

I had fun crafting, so happy days :)

Pink and Blue :)

I decided when I saw the Ribbon Girl Blog Colour Challenge No. 15... Pink and Blue that it would be a nice one to break myself into putting cards into things where people can see them and judge my primitiveness :P

So I gathered some pink and blue materials and this is what I came up with - a birthday card for a friend.

A5 cards are really big! I didn't think I'd be able to fill the space, but the decoupage I used was big enough to fill some space :)

I used a Country Companions decoupage, it was fairly big so fitted on this size nicely :) ...

...And a Tulip sentiment, Papermania blue blitters...

... Papermania Pink Capsule Collection papers and some ribbon and gems from my stash to finish it off :)

I would also like to enter this in PaperCrafting Journey's Challenge No 1: Floral

Crafty buys

So I'm in Dublin for the next three days...hospital is a pain in the neck! As usual, my suitcase contains one spare set of clothes and the rest is filled with my craft stuff! So now I'm sitting in my room, watching Disney movies on the laptop and making cards. Fun times!

I got some new crafty bits today: I got Papermania Capsule Collection papers, pink and blue (with the Ribbon Girl colour challenge in mind!) and some co-ordinated accessories - little flowers, ribbons, bows, daisy chains, FF the good life decoupage pack, some Daisy and Dandelion toppers, a couple of number toppers for kids' cards and some Anita's A5 card blanks. They're a bit big though, I'm not sure I know what to be filling all the space with, but I'll have fun trying!

Happy Crafting

Cards I've made

This is just a post to put up the cards I've made recently. I took photos of them before they went on their merry ways, so here they are :)

I went on a Tulip buzz with this card. I used a Tulip topper, sentiment and two Tulip papers from a decoupage pack. I used a Papermania Capsule bow and Express Yourself DIY ribbon, and finished it off with some gems.

I don't have any proper equipment yet, so for this card I used already-embossed white paper, and the other papers are from a Forever Friends 6x6 pack. The bear is also from the same paper pack, I just cut it out! I haven't got any stampers yet, or indeed any Promarkers, but they are on the agenda to buy soon :) The sentiment is from a Forever Friends sentiments die cut pack. Some gems finished it off.

This card was a very quickly thrown together one that my sister asked for an hour in advance, so I had to work fast. I used the same white embossed paper for the backing, then used some paper from my stash. The toppers are Express Yourself DIY toppers and then I added some gems.

I used Forever Friends backing paper from the male themed pack, all three of the papers used, some blue ribbon from my stash, a Papermania birthday card stock number sticker and the bear is from a man-themed decoupage pack. The sentiment is from the Forever Friends sentiment pack, added some gems and then done.

This was made as a birthday card for a garden centre owner. The spotted paper is from the Forever Friends man-themed A4 pack and the other two papers from the FF man-themed 6x6 pack. The decoupage is from a FF decoupage pack, the sentiment from a FF sentiment die cut pack and I finished it off with some gems.

They're just some of my more recent cards, the older ones are even worse than these ones, so I'm not even going to bother putting them up. I guess it's a work in progress, once I expand my supplies, things will look up a bit :)

Beginnings

So I'm totally new to this blogging thing, I don't know how to do anything so I feel like a big noob for now. Hopefully I'll figure this out in time!

Six months (so far) in hospital has given me plenty of reasons to find things to occupy a hell of a lot of spare time, so I've spent a lot of said time making cards and beading bracelets and things.

So having a blog seems to be the done thing in card making circles :P and I didn't want to be the kid that didn't have the thing all the other kids have :P I'm hoping to fill this with all kinds of creations, cards, jewellery, photos and any flying trips I take and photograph :) oh and all my cats. They're the best. And just general ramblings, I don't like talking that much, so writing down things is kind of nice.

Anyway, I've spent most of the day trying to figure out how to actually write in here, so I'm going to head to bed. *Yawn*
