Love Grows

Hello,

Today is a good day for me! I won a prize on the Forever Friends Challenge, the postman brought me two packs of Promarkers, and I got an email saying that the GRAND CALIBUR that my AMAZING boyfriend bought me for Valentine's Day has been dispatched and will be with me soon! I'm soooo excited!

I went for tea with my amazing friends then, and when I came home, I had another friend ask me to make her wedding invitations for her, so I'm very excited to do that as well! Another excuse to do some crafty shopping, what can I say, I love it!

So anyway, today I made my first ever stamped card. I hadn't coloured anything in for about 10 years, so it was fun :D I made the card for the aforementioned amazing boyfriend, so if you're reading this Anthony I love you so much! Anyway, enough blabbering, if you've read this much, kudos for putting up with my ramblings :P

This was so much fun to make! The purple and yellow papers are from a paper pack called Dreamcatchers, it's sooo pretty. The stamp is from Lili of the Valley...that is the hardest shop to buy from, I just want all of them! The sentiment is also LOTV.

A closeup of this cute sentiment, I added some gems and a flower and coloured the border with a Promarker :) The flower is from a pack of them that I got on sale in a local craft store, I love them :D I used a few more of these on the card too.

I had these butterflies in my stash, first time using any of them, I quite like them though!

A closeup of my colouring, I love Promarkers! This was my first time ever using them, and I really really enjoyed it. Here's to many more Promarker coloured cards!

I'd like to enter this into the following:
I <3 Promarkers - Nature (first time being able to enter this one!)
and
Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge - Favourite things - Butterflies, purple and LOVE

If you've read this far, thank you. You're very patient!
Much love,

Thank you card

My sis requested a thank you card for a friend of hers. I decided to challenge myself and do something a little different than I usually do for this card, so here's what I came up with :)

I used a FF sentiment, paper from Express Yourself DIY, some Papermania cardstock stickers and some ribbon from my stash. Pretty simple really :)

Late Valentine's Card

I made this card for my Dad to give to my Mum, I couldn't take photos of it until after the day in case she saw :)

This is what I came up with, I used floral embossed white paper for the background, red paper and really sparkly floral black paper all from my stash.

The sentiment is a freebie digi, I think, I can't remember where i got it though :( It's so pretty, I used it lots of times! The red card behind the sentiment is slightly corrugated, I really liked the look of it.

The chairs and table and the sparkly heart are all by Express Yourself DIY cards, I just love their stuff! I added some ribbons and gems then and done :)

Retirement Card

My parents asked for a retirement card for a friend of theirs, so this is what I came up with :)

After finishing up with work, he decided to raise sheep apparently, hence the wooly theme :)

The sheep is from Express Yourself DIY, they have some really nice bits, I use a lot of their stuff.

The flowers are a mix of Papermania flowers and rosebuds I had in my stash, not too sure where they're from.

Added some Anita's letters, just going with the sheep theme!

And a personalised sentiment that I printed myself.

I used the sketch over at Mojo Monday - Challenge 228, so I'd like to enter that one.

Thanks for looking

Valentine's

I made this card for my sis to send to her boyfriend. It was a fun one to make, my cards are usually light-coloured pastel-type shades, so it was different to do something a bit richer.

I used an A5 card blank, some Express Yourself DIY paper on the bottom half and the black behind the bear is by the same, the red on top is from my stash. The bear is from a FF decoupage pack, as are the hearts and the sentiment.

The hearts i cut out and layered myself, they were too pretty to not use.

The textured paper was from my stash

The ribbon is from a pack of ribbons by Express Yourself DIY.

A close up of this cute decoupage bear, kinda blurred though.

Baby Boy Card

I'm back in business, my amazing boyfriend whisked me off for a romantic few days away to get away from and forget everything for a while. We went to Disneyland Paris, and my goodness it was COLD. It was so good to get away, I've been getting cabin fever of late!

Anyway, I came home to an order for a new baby card for a friend of my sister's, so I got stuck straight into that.

This is what I came up with :) I used an A5 card blank, when I bought them first they seemed way too big! But I've used a few of them and I'm getting used to them now :) the checkered paper is from the papermania capsule collection, the plain blue paper behind the bear is from a FF card kit and the white lacy border I was given by a very nice lady as I don't have my own die-cutter yet.

I'm pretty happy with my bows hehe! I couldn't tie them for ages but this one worked out ok I think.

I used a Forever Friends decoupage from the Hugs and Cuddles decoupage pack, the little birds were soo fiddly for me! But worth it in the end I think.

I printed this off on the computer because it was requested as a personalised card. I added some gems and done :)
