Christmas Card

Here's my latest Christmas card. I'm pretty happy with it, I used my tea effect on it again :P hehe, I should probably buy some distress inks or something. So here's what I made anyway.

The tea hadn't fully dried when I took the picture lol :P It looks better now that it's dried. I used Bo Bunny papers, and even managed to use some scraps that were destined for the bin as well - the little strips along the top and bottom! The image and sentiment are LOTV, the ribbon is from my stash, the twine is from Ribbon Girl and the button is from a cardigan lol.

A closeup of the bear, coloured with Promarkers and covered in Stickles as usual :P

My button and bow

My sentiment - looks way better dry than here. I used a Nestie lattice rectangle for this, the bigger ones in the set are so hard to use, the paper keeps getting stuck in the die :(

Anyway, that's me for now, I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Jingle Belles Challenge - Peace on Earth(Day) - Reuse/Recycle - saved scraps, reused cardigan button

Cute and Girly

This is one of the cards I made today, I'm going crazy for pink at the moment! :D So this is what I made, I'm pretty happy with it :)

The image is Penny Black, the ribbon and charm are from Ribbon Girl, the flowers, gems and corners are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the rest is from my stash.

Ribbon and flower charm

I have to get me some more of these babies! I love them!

A closeup of the image - I coloured it with Promarkers, put some gel pen on the bees and around the petals to make them shine, and used seed beads from my jewellery-making stash for the flower centre :)

Close up of the flowers, I put Stickles around the edges to make them all sparkly :)

So that's my card, I hope you like it.

Girly card

So, I made a card and totally loved how it turned out (which hardly ever happens!). Then, I dropped a black ink pad on it, ink side down. I could have cried! I may have actually done momentarily, but we'll pretend that didn't happen :P The image was ruined, there was ink all over the card, so I tore off the image, covered the splodges with more paper, added a new image and this is what it turned out as.

The spotty paper behind the image covered most of the ink, the sentiment is also helping out too :P The image is a Bugaboo digi, the corners and gems are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the sentiment is LOTV, the ribbon is from Ribbon Girl and the papers are a mixture of Forever Friends New Arrival and stuff from my stash.

A closeup of the corner! I've never used these before, I like it though! Finishes a card off nicely I think.

A closeup of the image, coloured with Promarkers.

I had to add extra paper to cover my spill :(
but I think the original sketch is still visible.

Dog card

I've had the idea for this card in my head ever since I got the Basic Grey Max and Whiskers paper pack and after that it was just a matter of buying the other bits - image and charm mainly :) So here it is, I'm happy enough with how it turned out :)

The paper is Basic Grey, the image is a Bugaboo image, the sentiment is LOTV and the ribbon, twine and charm are from Ribbon Girl. I used my MS border punch too.

A close up of this cute little bone charm! So cute.

Closeup of the image, coloured with Promarkers.

So that's that, another man card done! :D

Traditional Christmas Card

I made another Christmas card today, I really like how it turned out :)

I used Authentique papers from the Wonder Bundle paper pack. The image is from LOTV, the ribbons are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pearls are from Ribbon Girl. I painted tea on the picture to make it look more vintage.

A close up of the image - I put Stickles on his hat trim and bobble.

Man card

I was asked by my neighbour to make a card for her nephew. I don't have a lot in the way of manly stamps yet, so when I have to make a man card these days I usually go back to decoupage :) This is what I made anyway.

I used Forever Friends decoupage and paper, I printed the sentiment off the computer, I used my MS punch for the trim, the ribbon, twine and buttons came from Ribbon Girl.

My buttons! Still getting used to using buttons :P

Wedding Card

My sis needed a wedding card, so this is what I made for her. I got a new Bo Bunny paper pack in the post, so I was mad to use it! :D So this is what I came up with :) This is my first try at anything with a vintage feel, I'm pretty happy with the result!

The sentiment is from a Forever Friends pack of sentiments. The ribbon, twine, pearls and button (I used another button!) are from Ribbon Girl, the image is LOTV and as previously mentioned the paper is Bo Bunny. I don't have any distress inks, so i used tea instead! :D that was fun. The gems were in my stash. As usual, I used my Stickles as well :)

A close up of my button!

The image was coloured with Promarkers, I added Stickles and little gems to her veil and the bouquet.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

That's me, thanks for looking :)

Another Charity Card

Hey everyone,

I've been busy making more charity cards. I really want to do my bit for charity but I'm still too ill to do actual volunteering or any kind of work like that, so I figured if I made cards and donated them, that would at least be something. I'm donating them to the Irish Cancer Society, hopefully they'll be able to sell them and make a few pence on them.

The ones I've made so far, I've used the same image on them - the logo of the ICS is a daffodil, so I wanted the cards to have some element of the charity in them, so that's why I went for this image. So here's another of them. They have a charity shop in my locality, hence why I chose this charity - it's a very worthy cause as well obviously.

The image is from Bugaboo, the sentiment is Lili of the Valley, the ribbon and twine is from Ribbon Girl, the pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the papers are from a Prima paper pack.

Close up of the image, coloured with Promarkers.

The ribbon and twine look really nice together I thought! :D

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday to make this card - here it is:

Baby Girl Card

I had sudden inspiration for a baby girl card - my sister's bestie had a baby girl today! Her name is Elise :) I already made her card ages ago, but I guess someone else can give her this one :P So here it is :)

The papers are from the Forever Friends New Arrival pack. The sentiment is from LOTV, the ribbons and charm are from Ribbon Girl, the image is obviously FF too, and the gems and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I put Stickles on the flowers to make them sparkle :) I used my Martha Stewart border punch too :)

A closeup of the image, coloured with Promarkers. I wasn't sure what colours to use for Forever Friends bears! But I figured it out and used Vanilla, Blush and Sandstone. I put stickles on the little heart too.

The sentiment, also surrounded with Stickles...I love Stickles!

A closeup of this cute little soother charm!

My sparkly flowers :)

Charity Card

Hey :)

Today I started making cards that I may donate to charity. The Irish Cancer Society is the charity I chose for now, and their logo is a daffodil, so I made a few cards today using a daffodil image from Bugaboo.

This is the first of them - and guess what, it's clean and simple, and I actually kind of like it! This is a first for me, I'm dire at clean and simple cards :-S

The image is from Bugaboo, I just love their images. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley, and the pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I coloured it with Promarkers. I'm happy with how this turned out :)

Girly Christmas

I made a right girly Christmas card today! I had my little niece Hana in mind as a recipient when I made it :) So here's what I came up with :)

The image and sentiment are from Lili of the Valley, the charm and ribbons are from Ribbon Girl, the gems are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the paper is from my stash. I coloured the image with Promarkers.

A closeup of this sweet image! As usual, there is lots of Stickles there :)

Lilac and Lime

I love this colour combination, I remember back when I started making cards first, before I blogged at all, I was online and came across a challenge with this colour combo as the theme, I've been meaning to do it since then, so now I have, and they go together as well as I'd imagined :D

I've been trying to get a load of crafting in the last few days, as over the coming two weeks I've got 6 hospital appointments again so I will be busy with those...grrrr... oh well, time spent in waiting rooms means time reading my book, so every cloud has a silver lining really :)

Anyway, here it is :)

The ribbon is from my stash, it's been in there for ages, I don't use that colour half often enough! The sentiment is from LOTV, the image from Bugaboo, the little butterfly charm is from Ribbon Girl, the flowers and gems are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the checkered green paper is from a DCWV pack and the purple stuff is from my stash :)

A closeup of the image, coloured with Promarkers and it's not very clear, but there's little gems on all the flower centres.

So that's my card, I'm quite happy with how it turned out :)
I'd like to enter it into the following challenges:
Totally Gorjuss - Bling (the gems are there, promise! They're just not very visible in the photos!)
Do You Stack Up - Bling (again - the gems are there!)

Birthday Card for Mum

Hey everybody :)

I made this card using Kevin's great sketch over at Sketch and Stash - such a fun one to work with! I had the image left over all coloured in from Mother's Day, I didn't have anything to go with it at the time, so I used it now :)

This is what I came up with :)

The image and sentiment is LOTV, the ribbon, flowers and gems are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the paper is DCWV and the heart is from a local craft shop. I coloured it in with Promarkers :)

A closeup of the image.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Sketch and Stash - Kevin's Sketch (the red gems and ribbon are new, the coloured image has been neglected til now)

Wedding Card

Hey everybody :)

My sister asked for a wedding card for a friend's wedding, and this is what I came up with :)

The flowers and gems are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the ribbons are from Ribbon Girl, the image is from LOTV, the paper is from stash and the sentiment is from a FF sentiment pack. I coloured it in with Promarkers and as usual, added Stickles around the edge and on her veil and the hearts, not very clear but you can see it a bit better in the closeup :)

I made an Easter card at last :P My sister requested one, so this is what I made.

The image is from Bugaboo. I coloured it with promarkers and added some Stickles, and a pearl from Wild Orchid Crafts. The ribbon is from Ribbon Girl and the sentiment I printed off the computer. The paper is from A DCWV pack.

A close up of the image, it's so cute!

CAS card

I tried to do a clean and simple card. I'm really bad at them :P This is what I came up with anyway. After I took the photos I added a "best wishes" sentiment over the black bit at the left.

The image is from Pink Petticoat, the papers and gems are from my stash.

Let it Snow

Happy Easter Everybody!

I made another Christmas card today, I'm on a roll :P I had the idea for this one for a while, so I made it. It didn't come out the way it looked in my head, but it came out alright I suppose.

So this is what I came up with. The ribbon and shiny paper is from my stash, the starry paper is from an old Forever Friends paper pack, the sentiment is FF as well, the gems are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the digi is from Bugaboo :) I coloured it with Promarkers and put Stickles on too :P I really like the blue/silver/navy colours for Christmas cards, it's a step away from the usual reds and greens :)

Girly Tea

Hey there :)

I love this LOTV stamp, whenever I see it, it reminds me so much of my mother and aunt, my aunt lives away from us but meets my mum every couple of weeks for tea and chats, they're just so cute! So I every time I colour it, the girls always get the same hair colour as my mum and aunt :)

The spotty paper is from my stash, the other one from the FF Spring pack. The image is LOTV. The ribbons and button twine are from Ribbon Girl. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The button is a spare that came from a cardigan I think. I've never used buttons before, my boyfriend has a phobia of buttons! So using them for anything never really enters my head anymore!

A closeup, Auntie Phyllis is on the left, Mum on the right :)

A closeup of my first ever button use :P I like it, I might actually buy some buttons now! Although i'm not sure Anthony would forgive me if I do :P

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
