Forever Friends Fortnightly DT card

Hi everyone :)

This fortnight over at Forever Friends, our challenge is a sketch challenge! Here is the sketch that we'd like you to use, as usual, you can flip or rotate it and embellish it as you wish, as long as we can still see the original sketch.

We have two lovely sponsors this time - our Randomly Selected Winner is sponsored by
who are offering our lucky winner a £15 voucher to the store.

Our Forever Friends Favourite prize is sponsored by
who are providing our winner with either 3 'single' digis or 1 digi set of the winner's choice.
We were lucky enough to get some DT images from Pink Gem Designs to work with, they're so lovely :)

On a side note, last challenge we didn't have any entries with Forever Friends products on them, so come on guys, I think a prize from Pink Gem Designs is worth getting those gorgeous little bears out for, don't you? I've made a card using a Forever Friends bear for the challenge too, so I'll be posting that soon :)

So here's my card :)
The image is called "Cute Polar Bear" from Pink Gem Designs, the flowers, ribbon and pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the charm is from Ribbon Girl and the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley. The paper is from last year's Me to You pack.

A closeup of this adorable image, coloured with Promarkers and I put Stickles on the star and snowflakes and Glossy Accents on his little nose!

A closeup of my flowers, also blinged up with Stickles :)

My bow and charm, I love these snowflake charms :)

Home again =]

Hi everybody

I'm home from LA and feeling a tad jetlagged! The travel home took so long - we had to transfer in London and had a really long wait time there, and I'd run out of my normal painkillers in LA, so I had to use different over-the-counter useless ones and they made me feel so ill - turns out I'm allergic to them too, now my hands and mouth are covered in blisters from them :-( other than that, we had an amazing time :)

Here's a picture of the crafty goodies I bought Stateside, taken with the camera I bought! Excuse the quality of the pic, still getting used to my beautiful new camera :)
It was a major operation trying to fit a Cuttlebug in my suitcase home lol, but for $50 (±£31/€38) I couldn't refuse it.

Anyway, here's a card I made a while back but never blogged (my mojo must've taken a different flight home, because it's not back yet.)

The sentiment and number I printed out myself, the image and papers are from Lili of the Valley, the ribbon, flowers, gems and pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the charm is from Ribbon Girl and the flourish is a Cheery Lynn one.

A closeup of the image, coloured with Promarkers, I put Glossy Accents and Stickles on there too.

My flowers, also covered in Stickles.

MMCS DT Post

Hi everyone :)

Still in LA, it's sooo hot! It got to 34 C today, I thought at one point I was going to collapse lol, going from Irish October weather to this kind of heat is crazy! We had a great day again today, we went to Disneyland California - great day, great park, but as huge fans of Disneyland Paris, both of us thought that Disneyland California doesn't hold a candle to it at all, it was fun, but nowhere near as amazing as Disneyland Paris. We have yet to go to Disneyland in normal temperatures lol, one of the times we went to Disneyland Paris, I actually did get heatstroke, the next time it was -12 C and snowing lol!

Anyway enough blabbing. I'd like to say sorry to everyone for not commenting much this week, I'm only getting a few minutes here and there on the laptop in between sleeping and adventuring, but I'll be back home on Friday, so ALL the comments then :)

Today over at MMCS Challenge Blog, we have a Sketch Challenge for you, and here it is.

We're sponsored by My Mum's Craft Shop and they're providing a £10 gift voucher to the store for the winner.

Here is the card I've made for this challenge, obviously made before I went to LA :)

Add caption
The image is Meljen's Designs, the papers are from stash, the sentiment is LOTV, the pearls are from Ribbon Girl, the ribbon is from my local sewing shop and the flowers and gems were a gift from my mum.

Forever Friends Fortnightly DT card - Halloween

Good morning everybody!

I'm posting this from LA, and having the BEST time ever! We came specifically to go to the League of Legends World Championships Season 2 Final, and that was on Saturday evening...I don't think I EVER want to queue for anything ever again after the hours we spent in line for that haha! But the most amazing bit was, we got chatting to one of the event managers while queuing and he gave us VIP passes! Was so good. We've also been shopping twice and to Universal studios, and we're going to Seaworld San Diego today and Disneyland tomorrow hopefully :)

Anyway back to my post. This fortnight over at Forever Friends the challenge theme is Halloween or Autumn. We have to fab sponsors for this challenge;

Kenny K who are providing our winner with 5 digis from the store

and

who are giving our Forever Friends Favourite winner 4 sheets of digis of the winner's choice.

So come join us!

Here's my card for the challenge, I chose Halloween but used Autumn colours too :)
We were lucky enough to be able to use some of our wonderful sponsors' images, and I chose this beauty from Kenny K :) I printed the sentiment off the computer, I found it online. The hessian is from my local craft shop, the clock is a Tim Holtz die cut and the corner is from Wild Orchid Crafts. I'm very proud of myself lol, I distressed the edges and I think I didn't do too bad a job! :) I also used distress stickles around the edges and you can't see it at all for some reason on this, but it's all over the backing paper too so it's all sparkly - I wanted it to look like Pirate Treasure.

A closeup of this gorgeous girly, coloured with Promarkers and I put some Glossy Accents and Stickles on there too. As soon as we found out that it was a Halloween challenge and saw this image, I chose it straight away - I'm hoping to dress as a pirate this Halloween!

May the Force Be With You

Hi everybody :)

Since my boyfriend started working a Star Wars related job, I've been eyeing up the Force boy and girl over at Saturated Canary, so when my little niece asked for a birthday card for one of her little friends that likes Star Wars, I knew straight away what the image was going to be :)

As I said above, the image is from Saturated Canary, I got the letters from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, the blue ribbon is from Wild Orchid Crafts, the button and twine is from Ribbon Girl, I got the brads in my local craft shop and the papers are a various assortment from stash. I printed the sentiment off myself.

A closeup of this fab image! Coloured with Promarkers and I put Glossy Accents on his Lightsaber to make it shine :)

A closeup of these fab little wooden letters

My button and bow and sentiment.

Today over at My Mum's Craft Shop Challenge Blog, this week's challenge theme is

Love is all around

and we are sponsored this time by

My card for this time round is actually a Wedding Invitation from a set of 80 that I made for one of my friends who got married a while ago. Obviously I didn't want to post them on my blog til after the wedding lol. She liked them, and I saw on her Facebook page a few comments from people she'd invited saying they were lovely, so I think everyone was happy :)

The image is from Lili of the Valley, the ribbon, flowers and gems are from Wild Orchid Crafts and this isn't the sentiment I used on the actual invitations but I can't find a photo of any of them lol, this one was printed out on the computer.

A closeup of the image, coloured with Promarkers and I put Stickles on there too, on the hearts, headdress, veil and on the trim on the dress.

Forever Friends DT card

Good afternoon everybody :)

I haven't been blogging much lately, because my craftroom hasn't been very accessible the last few days! We had some home improvements going on and I had to move all my crafty stuff out :( so our sitting room is currently full of my desk, shelves and boxes of crafty stuff haha, I'm going to reorganise everything today and get making later :)

Anyway, aside from that, today the latest fortnightly challenge at Forever Friends Challenge Blog is up, and the theme is the super easy

Anything Goes

so no excuses, come join us!!

We have two amazing sponsors this fortnight;

Our Randomly Selected Winner prize is sponsored by the fabulous
and the prize is a $10 voucher to the store.

The Forever Friends Favourite Prize is sponsored by the wonderful
who are providing our lucky winner with two digis from the store (so get your Forever Friends images out for a chance to win the Favourite prize!)

Both of these sponsors very generously gave the DT images to work with, so be sure to check out all the DT cards over at the Forever Friends blog.

One of our very good family friends is going to Australia next week for a year with her boyfriend, so I made this bon voyage card for her, using Pack Lightly from Saturated Canary :)

As I said above, the image is from Saturated Canary, the papers are from Nitwits at Lili of the Valley, the border punch is a MS doily punch, the pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the charm, ribbon and sentiment are from stash.

I've been trying to do something new with my cards lately, I want to improve myself; I've been watching bucket loads of tutorials on all the pros' blogs lol! And writing shopping lists of all the new things I have to buy :-/ haha. But this time what I tried was very basic distressing by inking the edges of the paper with an inkpad; I like how it looks :) Very basic I know, but start small I guess :)

A closeup of this fab image, coloured with Promarkers and I put Glossy Accents and Stickles on there as well.

My bow, charm and sentiment :)

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Creative Inspirations - Bingo (Ribbon, pearls, stamp) or (Ribbon, blue, flowers)

Thanks for looking and come join us at Forever Friends!
