Army man card

Evening all :)

For the second night in a row, my beautiful half-wild rescue cat Scraps who has never settled in the house before is asleep on the couch beside me! She climbed in through my craftroom window and made herself quite comfy! The poor kitty, she's very jumpy and usually gets so nervous when she's inside, we think she must've been locked up and chased before we were lucky enough to get her :( Here's a photo of her asleep on the couch :)

Anyway, that's enough about her, here's my card :) I made it for my sister to give her boyfriend and he's in the army, hence the soldier theme. I also tried to get a hint of green, white and orange in there for the Irish flag hehe.

The image is Bugaboo, the sentiment is a stamp I found in a charity shop, the gems are from stash and the papers are from Nitwits.

A closeup of the image, coloured with Promarkers, and there's Glossy Accents on the parachute and Stickles on the clouds :)

Favourite Stamp

Morning all :)

I hope you all enjoyed yesterday's sunshine - it was my 24th birthday and I had a wonderful day, topped off with a fabulous family barbecue outside in the sunshine - perfect :)

Here's the birthday cake I made (Yes, I made my own birthday cake :P) - the pretty candles are courtesy of my 7 year old niece Hana :P

And here's what it looks like inside :)

I got lots of lovely things for my birthday - here's the craft stuff I got!

I can't wait to get back into my craft room and play with all this stuff now :D I got my first Magnolia stamps, my first House Mouse stamps and my first Wild Rose Studio stamps - I'm branching out here :P I also got more Penny Black stamps - I only had one up til now. My stupendous boyfriend gave me money to buy what I wanted, so I'll be getting some more crafty bits through the postbox in the next few days as well!

Anyway, enough about my birthday, I'm getting old now, I should be hiding the fact that I have birthdays lol :P

This week over at

the theme is

My Favourite Stamp

and this week we're sponsored by

Now, obviously this is insanely hard, because ALL my stamps are my favourite for their purpose, otherwise I wouldn't have bought them :P So to avoid choosing which one I like best, I decided to buy a new one instead lol :P I've had my eye on it for a while, so I chose this one: Rose and Felix by Sylvia Zet. Love it!
And here's the card I made with it :)
The image as previously mentioned is by Sylvia Zet for Wee Stamps by Whimsy Stamps, the ribbon and charm are from Ribbon Girl, the flowers, gems and corner are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the sentiment is Lili of the Valley and the rest is from my stash.

A closeup of the image, coloured with Promarkers. I put gems in her hair and Stickles on the flowers. There's some Glossy Accents too on the kitty's nose.

A closeup of the ribbon and charm, I forgot to arrange the charm nicely for the first photo :P

A closeup of the flowers I used.

I love these butterflies, I think they were one of the first crafty things I ever bought!

Dad's birthday card

Afternoon everyone!

Just a quick post for now with a card I made last night, a birthday card for a dad, mine is going to be 60 in August so I'm making loads of suitable birthday cards in plenty of time!

So here it is :)

This adorable image is from Lili of the Valley, as is the sentiment, the papers are from my trusty Bo Bunny Alora pack and the gems and pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I also used my MS punch.

A closeup of the image, coloured with Promarkers and I put Glossy Accents on the letters and tools, you can't see that very clearly form the photos though, but it is there! :)

Thank you card

Evening all :)

It's back to rain here, that makes me sad! I'm having a barbeque on Saturday for my 24th birthday, but it looks like it's going to have to be an inside barbeque :( oh well!

Anyway, here's a card I made today for my sister to give someone who gave her daughter some fabulous birthday presents :)

I'm just loving my bright coloured paper at the moment haha :P These are from the Bo Bunny Alora pack. The image is from Bugaboo and the flowers and gems are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

A closeup of the image, coloured with Promarkers, I also put Glossy Accents on the water, heart and the kitty's nose :)

About the Boys - And my news!

Hey everybody!

I found out last week that I made it onto another Design Team! This time, it's My Mum's Craft Shop! I'm so excited about this, but couldn't say anything til today when the new challenge came out :D I'm well happy though :) The DT ladies over there are so talented - you should go have a look at their blogs too.

The theme this week for the challenge is

and the sponsor is the wonderful

who are giving the winner the choice of SIX digis from their store.

So here's my card, I used a DigiStamp Boutique image called Spaceman Henry, I think he's lovely, having his adventures on the moon I'd imagine hehe :D

The papers are from the Bo Bunny Alora paper pack, the image as I said before is Spaceman Henry from Digistamp Boutique, the stars I cut out myself from scraps and Stickled up, the border is a MS punch and the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.

A closeup of this darling image! I coloured him with Promarkers and put Stickles on the little stars and you can't see it at all in this photo but on all the green bits there's Glossy Accents too.

So that's my first DT card for My Mum's Craft Shop, thanks so much again to all the girls over there for taking me on board :D

Today's card

Evening everyone :)

First of all, I'd like to say a big thank you to the DT over at Penny Black and More who chose one of my cards to be in their Spotlight of the Month feature, I'm happy out :D Also, I'd like to say thanks to Brenda of Floral Fantasies, as I won a candy from her, and all of it is AMAZING! I'm now totally addicted to Glossy Accents!

So I'd like to share my card with you - I'm actually happy with how it turned out! Which doesn't happen very often for me at all :) It's an unusual colour scheme for me, not that I don't like it, I just don't have ANY papers that go with, or are red! I just can't seem to find them :P I like how summery these colours look though :)

So this is my card :D The papers are from a Bo Bunny pack called Alora I think. The image is from Milk Coffee, they have such cute digis! The ribbon and gems are from Wild Orchid crafts. The swirl is a Marianne Design one. The birdcage I won in the candy, along with the red ink that I used to colour it, and the Glossy Accents that are coating it.

A closeup of this darling image, which is also accented with Glossy Accents :D It's coloured with Promarkers.

My bow and Glossy Accented Swirl (I'm addicted to this stuff now!)

A closeup of this birdcage, I actually love this diecut, it's beautiful.

So that's my card :)

Thank you card

Good afternoon everybody

The sun has actually been shining here today! I've not been feeling well today so have been snuggled up in my PJs, but everything just seems nicer when the sun is shining, no? :) I've had my boyfriend here to give me cuddles as well, so I'm well looked after!

This is the card I made, I coloured in the image a while ago and put it together then today :)

The papers are from Wild Rose Studio's Annabelle's Meadow pack, the image and sentiment is from Lili of the Valley, I used a doily that I coloured pink with a Promarker, the flowers and ribbons are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I used a Martha Stewart punch and Marianne's Design swirl die.

A closeup of the image, coloured with Promarkers, I added Stickles to the flower and used some seed beads for the centre of the flower :)

Just For You

Evening everyone :)

I got a load of new stash during the week - my postman must hate me - 7 parcels in one day! In fairness, I was expecting them to come in dribs and drabs, but no, they all came on the one day. Haha.

So I had great fun opening them all up and playing with them, it was great fun :D This is one of the cards I made, and it pretty much has everything new on it except for the stamp and sentiment :P I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! :D

The papers are from a Wild Rose Studio pack called Annabelle's Meadow, the flourish is a Marianne Designs swirl, the flowers, pearls, gems and ribbon are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the image and sentiment are from Lili of the Valley. You can't see it very clearly, but the sky is done with Cosmic Shimmer, which I got and really like, it's all shimmery!

A closeup of my flowers and swirl, all of which are new! And the swirl is covered with Stickles too :)

A closeup of the image, I think this is just such a sweet image :) I added gems to the flowers and a little pearl to her hat :)

So that's that, I really like all my new bits and pieces :D

Bright and cheerful :)

Evening all

Another rainy day here! I was super tired as well for some reason, didn't want to get out of bed at all this morning! Got my consultation appointment through the post this morning with the surgeon who'll operate on my knee, I have a tear in the cartilage that's been there for a long time, but up til this point, I was too ill to undergo surgery, so hopefully soon I'll have a pain-free knee!

I made a really bright summery card today, maybe making up for the weather haha, here it is anyway :)

The image is from Bugaboo, the sentiment is LOTV, the ribbon is from Joanna Sheen, the gems and corners are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the papers are from my stash.

A closeup of the image, coloured with Promarkers with gems for the flower centres and her bow :)

Sentiment

Pretty ribbon

So that's my card, very bright and pretty simple!

Another father's day card

Evening everyone :)

This is the second of a batch of father's day cards I'm making at the minute :) This is one of my favourite man cards that I've made so far, I'm really not great at them so this was an achievement for me to actually make one that I somewhat like :P So here it is :)

The papers are from my stash, the ribbon, gems and corners are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the image and sentiment are from Lili of the Valley.

A closeup of the image, coloured with Promarkers. I was trying to go for furry, I need waaay more practice at that though haha :P I love this image, I think it's adorable!

Bow and corner, I was going with a gold theme on this card :)

So that's it, fairly simple but I'm happy with it :)
