Summer Time

Hey everybody

I have been super busy the last few days and haven't had much time for new card making: I had my niece's 7th birthday party the other day, and as part of the entertainment, I made cards with the girlies. That was.... interesting. They had great fun and all, but the amount of glitter EVERYWHERE afterwards was crazy haha. They were all delighted with themselves heading off with their creations though so that's the main thing.

Last month, I made 50 wedding invitations for a friend of mine, and on Thursday I got a text from her saying she'd run out and needed 15 more from me, by the following day if possible...they're fairly detailed invitations and take me about 40 mins per card, so needless to say that was a full 24 hours haha. I got them done in time though so happy days!

Anyway, enough rambling, here's my latest card. I couldn't get right into the summer sunshine/beachy feel when the weather is so grey, but I think this reminds me nicely of lazy summer days when I was little and making daisy-chains in the sunshine was the best thing ever!

I used papers from the Lucy Cromwell pack by Papermania. The image and sentiment are from LOTV, the corners and gems are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the rest is from my stash.
