Cutie Pie Challenge GDT - Lots of Layers

Hi everyone :)

Today is my second GD slot over at Cutie Pies, and their theme this fortnight is LOTS OF LAYERS

The sponsor is Cedar Chest Designs. I used the Cedar Chest image Monkey Valentine for my card.

I'm loving the red and pink colour combo at the moment, I can't get enough of it! Which is strange, because up until recently enough, I didn't like it at all haha! Love it now though :D

Ingredients
Papers - Doodlebug
Sentiments - LOTV Sentiment Tags
Ribbon - Ribbon Girl
Pearls - Ribbon Girl
Medium - Promarkers
Border - MS Border Punch
Everything else - Stickles, Glossy Accents

I do my sky background with a cloud shaped diecut (Memory Box Puffy Cloud, but any cloud shaped diecut will work), and I use Inkylicious Ink Duster and a sky blue ink pad and just ink up the duster, place the diecut over the paper and brush the ink onto the area, and work your way around the card until it's all cloudy! To avoid getting blue on my image, I stamp the image again and cut out the second one to use as a mask to keep my coloured in image nice and clean :) I think it looks like such a sunny sky, and I like the way it finishes off an image :)

A closeup of my sentiments, I really like these :D They're new to me so a big novelty lol

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Thanks for looking, and do check out all the DT inspiration over at the Cutie Pie Challenge Blog :)

Love and hugs

Hi everyone

Hope you're well and having a lovely weekend. I'm having a good one, going to meet friends later and head off on a road trip for the afternoon, so that will be fun, hopefully the weather will hold :)

I made this late last night, my own two cats were on the sofa, they're sisters but absolutely hate each other! Both love sleeping on the same blanket, so there's always a race to see who gets it first, but tonight Zero got there first, and Scraps obviously really wanted in haha! So she edged her way on so slowly, and after a bit of hissing and batting each other with paws, they were both wedged onto the blanket looking so awkward from trying not to touch each other....cats really are strange creatures :D

Ingredients
Papers - Doodlebug
Medium - Promarkers
Sentiments - LOTV Sentiment tags
Charm - Ribbon Girl
Lace - Ribbon Girl
Saddlestitch ribbon - Ribbon Girl
Plain ribbon - Wild Orchid Crafts
Pearls - Ribbon Girl
Baker twine - Ribbon Girl
Everything else - Stickles, Glossy Accents

A closeup of this gorgeous image from Oak Pond Creations - Kim is having an OPC Birthday Bash Challenge over on her blog, so I'm going to enter this card in there too :) Happy birthday OPC!
