(very late) Crafty Friends DT Post

So after ages of my being laptopless, I dug out my aged Macbook from the cupboard, it's very slow and is about three gigantic updates out of date, but until I get my own one back, this will have to do nicely!!!

Thus, I'm really behind with my DT duties - the Crafty Friends Challenge Blog's current challenge is nearly at an end, but I'm getting up to date with my posting anyway. The theme this time is Blossoms, so to use flowers somewhere on your creation.
We are sponsored by the wonderful Sami Stamps

and also by the wonderful Toadstool Printables

We were really lucky to be given images from the two sponsors to use for our cards, and I got the absolutely stunning Wildflower Beauty from Sami Stamps.

And here is the card I made. I'm trying my hardest to fit all my images into Christmas cards, to make up for my inadequacy of building up a Christmas stash during the year :P Every year I say "next year I'll make a Christmas card every week" and then when "next year" rolls around, I find myself sweating it in December trying to fit everything in :P Sigh. Maybe next year!
Ingredients
Wild Flower Beauty - Sami Stamps
First Edition papers
Cheery Lynn holly flourish die
Crafts too snowflake border die
LOTV sentiment
Ribbon from Ribbon Girl
Poinsettias from stash
Liquid Pearls, Frantage powder
Coloured with Copics, edged with Distress Inks

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Traditional! It's so festive and makes me feel so Christmassy every time ^_^

Thanks for looking!

All Dressed Up October Facebook Challenge

Good evening everyone!

I was on holiday for two weeks, and on the flight home I got so sick that the paramedics were waiting for me when the plane landed, worst flight ever :P When you're at 30000 ft and can't see, feel your arms or face and your heart-rate is about 30 bpm and you can't stop vomiting, it gets pretty terrifying. Still not quite sure what went wrong, but a week later I'm feeling much stronger but still a bit delicate.

Anyway, I'm playing catchup on all aspects of life at the moment, the post-holiday laundry pile seems to be never ending, I have so much college work to do I don't even want to think about it, and there's a few card orders due already so I'm feeling the pressure :P I need to concentrate on my health first though, as I can't do much if I'm dead lol.

So, a few days late but better late than never. The All Dressed Up Facebook Challenge for October is the theme of "Autumn or Halloween".

I used the adorable image Magical Day for my card.

Hana's card :)

Evening all

Just a quick post to share the card my lovely 11-year-old niece Hana made to give her mum for her birthday. Aside from printing out the papers and image, and cutting them out, she did it all by herself :)
She picked out this adorable little mermaid to colour in :) It's from Lili of the Valley.

The papers are from Pixel Paper Prints
Charm and dewdrops from Ribbon Girl
Ribbons from stash
Sentiment printed on the computer
She coloured with my Copics
Lashings of Stickles and Glossy Accents :)

She'd love to get some nice comments on her card I'm sure, so feel free to let her know if you like her card :)

She'd like to enter it into the Simon Says Stamp Kids Challenge.

Thanks for having a look!

Crafty Friends DT card - still a few days to enter

Good afternoon!

Scrappycat is at home, in her big dog crate, and doing well. She's eating and drinking and she seems to not be in too much pain (probably due to her powerful painkillers - she seems to like me a lot more than usual too LOL! I think she's a little "out of it") so I'm OK. She meows a lot in the night and her cage is in the bedroom, so that's a challenge, but it's not for long. Her stitches will be coming out next Thursday/Friday.

I made a second card for the Crafty Friends Challenge Blog's current colour challenge of Pink White and Green. We have three fab sponsors, SheepSki DesignsStar Stampz and Bugaboo Stamps

I used another SheepSki image for this card too - they're just too cute! Andrea is a great artist, her images are gorgeous :) This image is Flump n Tic.

Ingredients
Image - Flump n Tic from SheepSki Designs
Nitwits papers
MS doily border punch
Pearl trim from Live and Love Crafts

Crafty Friends DT Card - Colour Challenge

Evening all

I'm SO late posting this. Life is hectic and so not fun at the moment. Like...this year has just been pants so far! Every week there seems to be some new disaster and I am stressed beyond belief ha! I've seen the vet SO many times this year, and the Emergency Department at the hospital more times than I would ever want to. I really wanted to start afresh at the turn of the half-year, but it only took three days in for life to hurl the next box of lemons at me.  Guess I'll just have to start afresh next January ha. Or, college "new year" is September, so maybe September is a good place for a fresh start?! I just got my beautiful Scraps back from the vet, she had a graphic injury that I'm not going to describe and was hospitalised for four days, she's doing well now but I'm heartbroken for her! And really not looking forward to having to administer her medicines for the next week, she's a very highly strung nervous cat so it's really not going to go well :(

Anyway, back to crafts! The latest challenge over at Crafty Friends Challenge Blog is a colour challenge:

Use
Pink, White and Green

I love this colour combo! It's definitely one of my favourites, for girly cards anyway. We have three fantastic sponsors for this challenge:
Sheep Ski Designs

For my card, I used this fantastic SheepSki Designs image called Humphrey (image no. 23).

And here's the full card I made using this adorable image! I made this as a Thank You card to give to our vet for taking such great care of our bunny Zorro :)
Ingredients
Nitwits papers
WOC flowers, Ruffle Trim and Pearl Trim from Live and Love Crafts
Marianne Design Ivy Die
Cheery Lynn Flourish Die
White ribbon and Diamante Embellishment from Ribbon Girl
Coloured with Copics

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
As You Like It - Favourite Markers/inks/pencils
Copics are my favourite, because I colour best with them. I've tried Promarkers, Inktense pencils, I'm going to try Prisma pencils in the future, but for now Copics are my choice
