Forever Friends - Something New

Hi All :)

This is another scheduled post so hopefully it works! I should be burnt to a crisp by now, my pasty Irish skin can't handle sun :P 

Today's the new fortnightly challenge at Forever Friends Challenge Blog.

Seriously ladies and lads, if you haven't visited their shop, or even haven't visited recently, you really should :P They have loads of new stock coming in all the time, so yeah, go look!!

Here's the card I made for this challenge. I put two 'new' things in - new baby is the obvious one, and new technique is the other one: this is the first time I've tried paper piecing, and I was quite happy with the result really :)

The image is Forever Friends, the papers are Wild Rose Studio, the sentiment is LOTV and the flowers and gems are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The doily is from my stash.

A closeup of the image coloured with Promarkers, the blanket is paper-pieced from the same pack as the background papers. I put stickles on the heart.
