Babies are all our dreams rolled into one

Evening all

Hope you're all well.

My sister's boyfriend's aunt that he's very close to just had a little baby girl, and he asked me ages ago if I'd make him a card to give her when the child was born, but they didn't know the gender so I waited til she'd popped before creating. So this is what I made. They haven't chosen a name for the little mite just yet so I haven't done anything inside the card yet so I can put all the necessary details in there :)

Ingredients
Image and Sentiment - LOTV All Our Dreams
Paper - LOTV Perfect Pair
Martha Stewart Leaf Punch
Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers
Embossilicious Petit Dots Embossing Folder
Pearl from Ribbon Girl
Coloured with Promarkers
Stickles Stardust and Glossy Accents

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

A Creative Romance - Dies/Punches (I used a MS leaf punch and the circle is a spellbinders circle die)

Butterfly Wishes

Good afternoon everyone!

It's my niece's 5th birthday party today, so I'm taking in the calm before the storm, in a couple of hours, there's going to be 17 hyperactive, sugared-up 5-year-olds legging it around the vicinity, so I won't get any peace!

I have such a vivid memory of my own 5th birthday - my eldest sister (the mother of this birthday girl actually!) telling me to get dressed for my 5th birthday party, as I was running around the house in my knickers and vest causing havoc haha. Funny the things you remember right? And just like my mother used to be up til all hours cooking and baking and icing and decorating the night before, both Mummy AND Daddy of the Birthday Girl were up til all hours last night, making sure everything will be *just right* for their little darling's do :)

Anyway, enough of that :) I made this card a while ago for a friend to give his god-daughter for her 18th birthday, I had ZERO mojo when I needed to make this, so it literally took 7 hours to make. LOL. But I'm pretty happy with how it turned out :) I wanted it to be less "cute" and more "grown up" but still girly, so I think that worked out OK :) As per usual for my cards these days, I went frantage mad :)

Ingredients
Papers - Wild Rose Studio Annabelle's Meadow
Flowers and blue ribbon - Wild Orchid Crafts
Pink pearl trim, White pearl trim, looped organza trim, charm, silver butterfly, brad - Ribbon Girl
Cheery Lynn French Pastry Die
Memory Box Vivienne Butterfly Die
MS Butterfly Punch
JoyCrafts Alphabet Die (for the numbers)
Coloured with Promarkers
Shabby Pink Frantage
Blue Liquid Pearls
Glossy Accents
Stickles

A closeup of my flowers :)

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Bunny Zoe's Challenge - Bingo (Ribbon/Sparkle/Charms)
Live and Love Crafts Challenge - Photo Collage Inspiration (I chose the pretty pink and blue colours and flowers from the third one and the overall shabby chic look)

LOTV Dad birthday

Evening everyone

Thanks to everyone for commenting on my last post with their advice, comments, etc :) I'm going to America on holidays just before Christmas, so I think I'm going to get some Copics there where I'll be able to find them slightly cheaper, and should also be able to get them for Christmas from my parents and boyfriend, so happy days :)

It was my dad's birthday last week, so I had to make cards for everyone to give him. I had no mojo so it was difficult to say the least lol, man-cards are hard! And I left it til the last minute, so the last two weren't even worth taking photos of, haha.

Ingredients
Image - LOTV Dad's the word
Papers - LOTV Petal Fresh paper pack
LOTV Sentiment Tags
Embossilicious Lattice Embossing Folder
Twine and pearl from Ribbon Girl
Brad from stash
Coloured with Promarkers
Glossy Accents

Tea time birthday card

Evening all

Firstly, a rant. I use Promarkers. Keeping in mind that I've only been colouring for about a year and a half, I'm feeling very grumpy tonight, as yet another of my markers has run out! I don't colour an insane amount, maximum of one image a day, and I really don't see that as enough colouring for, so far, 8 of my markers to have run out. I store them on their side, in a cool, dry room, caps on always, so I'm really peeved at the moment about this, especially because I have a lot of pink colouring to do in advance of my niece's 5th birthday, and now my main pink marker has just up and died.

Considering just biting the bullet and buying a full set of Copics and having done with it. Replacing markers after less than a year in some cases feels too much like a con to me at the prices these markers are.

And a question too: if I do switch over to Copics...Ciao or Sketch??? And why :)

Rant over. (Any comments, advice etc fully welcome!)

So onto my card! My elderly neighbour is my biggest supporter in the crafting department, she's constantly telling all the neighbours that my cards are amazing and that they should order some, so this is one that another neighbour asked for through her, so happy days :) She needed a nice birthday card for her sister in law, so this is what I made.

Ingredients
Lili of the Valley "Coffee Break" rubber stamp
Lili of the Valley "Country Lady" paper pad
Computer generated sentiment
Ribbon, charm, button, pearls and twine from Ribbon Girl
Whimsy Corner Die
Aged Ivory Frantage
Glossy Accents, Stickles
Promarkers

Closeup of the cute little charm :)

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Bunny Zoe's Challenge - Bingo (Buttons/Sparkle/Pearls) or (Ribbon/Sparkle/Charm)
Passion for Promarkers Challenge - Recipe 3 papers, 1 image, 1 sentiment and 3 embellies: charm, button, pearls

Also, it reminds me so much of my mum and aunt, even the facial expressions are like theirs! So I get a little smile on my face every time I see this image, and thus use it as much as possible :)

Thanks for looking :)
