My internet is being a complete pain, I'm going to have to get on the phone tomorrow and do some complaining hehe, it's been hit and miss for a while but it's gone beyond a joke tonight, I'm literally up and down the stairs every 5 minutes restarting the router, so I'm going to have to *try not to* shout at someone tomorrow lol. My boyfriend worked in a TalkTalk call centre for nearly 5 years and he says it was soul-destroying dealing with angry people all day long, so I make it a point to be super nice to people when I ring up about problems like that lol.
Anyway, onto crafty and far more interesting things :) Lili of the Valley's challenge this time round is for a shaped card; I've not done much in the line of shaped cards, but this time I decided I'd have a go! I made two matching circle mini cards using my Circle dies, so here's what I came up with :)
My two cards, a boy Christmas card and a girl Christmas card! I have it in my head to make loads of these for my niece to give to all her little schoolfriends at Christmas :) The image is from Lili of the Valley, and it's really good for either gender! I love this little teddy, it gets lots of use here :) I coloured it with Promarkers and Stickled it up on both cards with a bit of Glossy Accents on their noses :)
The sentiment is also Lili of the Valley, the swirl is a Marianne Design swirl, the snowflake was from some toppers I had from last year and the background paper I embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder of snowflakes and inked and Stickled the raised bits.
A closeup of my favourite Christmas stamp (so far! I'm saving my pennies to order some more this week :D) The paper is darkened with good old tea :)
A closeup of my snowflake, I really like this - I didn't think anything that I had from last year would be useful, because I only started crafting just before Christmas so all I used was toppers and peeloffs etc back then haha! But this was in one of the packs and I love it :)
My sentiment from Lili of the Valley, I put tea on the paper to darken it :)
My girly card :) The sentiment is from last year's box of stash, as are the snowflakes. The gems on the flakes are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the paper is from a Me to You pack from last year and the ribbon and charm are from Ribbon Girl. The tulle is cut from my Halloween costume from a couple of years ago - I was a fairy lol :)
A closeup of my girly bear :)

I'd like to enter these into the following challenges:

So that's me, nighty night :)

Hi Tags,
ReplyDeleteTwo really fabulous cards, I think circle ones make such a nice change from the norm. Difficult to choose a favourite although I think I sway slightly to the boy version as I love blue and brown together, but it's up snowflake that really does it.
Thanks so much for joining us at Penny Black and More challenge this month.

Your circle shaped cards are lovely! I find it so inspiring to see how much only a change in colors can do - even though the design is the same, they look totally different! I'm unable to pick a favorite - they're both so sweet!
